I have been performing and teaching bodywork therapy for over 32 years, graduating from Oregon School of Massage in 1993. I have been the team massage therapist for the Portland Winterhawks since 2008. I own and teach sports massage clinics and classes for Time Out Sports Massage Education. My treatment philosophy is based on current science, combined with attention and care to maintain comfort, relaxation, and effective recovery. I do this using a combination of many different techniques and tools. I have experience at national, Olympic and World competition levels, and am the author of articles for Oregon distance runner magazine and presenter of the Sports Massage for the nationally known company, Bodyworks.
I have been performing bodywork for over 25 years, graduating from Cedar Mountain Center for massage in Vancouver, WA in 2000. My initial motivation was after having lower back surgery, I realized there was a much better approach than the one I chose....massage therapy. My journey began two years later.
I am a long-time endurance athlete and that is where my focus has been in my practice, working with many ultra marathon runners, climbers and other people who enjoy using their bodies to play and enjoy their activities. My approach to bodywork is therapeutic deep tissue work with and emphasis from Tui Na. My goal is to always help clients keep their body healthy, strong and flexible so that they may continue to enjoy all their activities.
